Taneesh Kaur
Teaching Artist
Poet, Painter, Linguist
“Taneesh Kaur consistently writes poems that are not fearless, but rather heedless of fear. Thawing is an act of headlong self-exploration and spares the poet very little. Taneesh writes the stripping of husks, the burning leaf pile, and possibly the hint of new growth. I found myself to be mostly speechless, wrapped in the words with all nerves exposed.”
K Shuck 7th Poet Laureate of San Francisco Emerita
Author of Pick a Garnet to Sleep In (Scapegoat Press)
“Thawing invites us to a cacophony of inner and outer reflections that demand response-ability be taken for wounds society’s tradition inflicts. These soul searching prose break the ice with stunningly sharp poems candidly aware, eye-witness to a thousand cuts.”

Author of Synchronicity: The Oracle of Sun Medicine (Black Lawrence Press)
